I was born on January 22 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in
Birmingham, Alabama. January 22 is the Feast of St. Vincent on the Catholic
Calendar. I think it’s interesting that I was born at a hospital named for a
Saint on the feast day of the Saint.

I spent my early
schooling at Erwin (Erwin Elementary, Erwin Jr. High, and Erwin High School) in
Birmingham. I took English as a foreign language and took Chorus, Intermediate
Chorus, Advanced Chorus, and Master Chorus. I was elected to the High School's
Who's Who (I was selected "Who's That") and awarded the Choral Award
(Surprise!). I played the piano for 5 High School Graduations. Finally, after
memorizing "Pomp And Circumstance", they let me graduate.
I continued my
education at Samford University, in Birmingham. I received a B.A. Degree and
majored in Religion and minored in Music. I continued with my education at New
Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where I received a Master of Divinity
(However I still can't master divinity candy).
